Aircraft Management FAQ

What is aircraft management?
Aircraft management is a full-service solution that handles every aspect of owning and operating an aircraft, including crew, maintenance, scheduling, compliance, and charter revenue opportunities.

What services are included in Joyride’s aircraft management program?
We provide full oversight including maintenance coordination, hangar arrangements, crew sourcing, dispatch, insurance management, FAA compliance, and optional Part 135 charter operations to generate revenue when your aircraft isn’t flying privately.

Can my aircraft be added to charter when not in use?
Yes. If your aircraft meets FAA requirements and is eligible for Part 135, we can market it for charter to help offset ownership costs. You retain full control over usage and scheduling.

Where is your management operation based?
Joyride Aviation is headquartered in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, with aircraft oversight throughout the Caribbean and southeastern U.S. We partner with select vendors for maintenance and storage across the region.

What types of aircraft do you manage?
We specialize in managing turboprops (like the Pilatus PC-12 and King Air), light jets, and midsize jets. Custom programs for larger aircraft are available upon request.

Can I use my aircraft for both personal and charter flights?
Yes. Most of our owners fly personally and allow charter usage during downtime. We coordinate all scheduling and ensure no conflicts arise between personal and revenue flights.

Will I receive reports and financial transparency?
Absolutely. We provide detailed monthly reports outlining aircraft hours, maintenance status, expenses, and charter income, so you’re always informed and in control.

What are the financial benefits of chartering my aircraft?
Chartering helps offset operating costs, including crew salaries, insurance, and hangar fees. While it won’t always result in profit, it can significantly reduce the net cost of ownership.

Do you offer hangar space and maintenance support?
Yes. We help secure hangar options and oversee all maintenance — from scheduled inspections to unscheduled repairs — using FAA-certified vendors and mobile teams.

Can you help me acquire or sell an aircraft?
Yes. We work with trusted acquisition and sales partners to help you purchase or sell an aircraft, including market analysis, pre-buy inspections, and registration support.
